This is a mailing I got from my Congressman Adam Schiff:
This is the mailing that my next door neighbor got:
They were both paid for by the taxpayers. This is wrong! Read Why
- The taxpayers should not be required to fund bilingual communications for incumbents. It increases the incumbents advantage and therefore decreases democracy.
- That they were mailed at all means that someone in the government is keeping records on individual families ethnicity.
- Surveys have shown that most Americans welcome immigration if the immigrants assimilate. This type of pandering discourages assimilation.
- Many opponents of immigration believe that the government is encouraging a multi-ethnic and multi-lingual society like Quebec. This taxpayer funded multi-lingual communication will reinforce their opinion and make it harder to keep the door open to immigration.
At Radical Immigration we want people to be allowed to live where they choose. To accomplish that we have to have the consent of those who are already living there. Taxpayer funded bilingual communications from Congresspeople does not help to gain that consent.
